My holiday shopping is nearly done (kind of? almost?) and I have been trying to focus on shopping small and supporting small businesses for the bulk of my gift recipients this year. I am lucky to live by a few great thrift, secondhand, and consignment shops where I’ve picked up some goods and I’ve been supporting local entrepreneurs and businesses where I can. Etsy is one of my favorite places to find the perfect, unique gift and I have found some TREASURES in the last few weeks as I’ve been making my list and checking it twice. Some of my favorite Etsy finds this holiday season include a little something for everyone so if you’re scramblin’ for an idea as we approach the big days, I have a few ideas below that might just do the trick.
For the gals: I love personalized jewelry gifts! I’m serious. If I know your birthday and your initials, just know that your time is coming to receive something personalized from me. This multi family name necklace is perfect for a momma with multiple kiddos. I am also a big fan of this name/birthstone necklace that has a similar vibe. Need somewhere to put that personalized jewelry? Consider a personalized travel jewelry box. I bought these for some friends a couple of years ago and I really love that they are small enough to travel with. I wound up getting one for myself a few months later and use it every time I pack a suitcase.
For the guys: My husband, lovely as he is, can be SO difficult to shop for. This year I did manage to find him some very “Ryan” things. This video game organizer is doubly beneficial because it is a gift but also will clear some of the game clutter off of my playroom entertainment center (altruistically self serving? I dunno, maybe.). Is my husband the only cheesehead? I hope not because this custom charcuterie board is so chic and would do well paired with some local jams and a loaf of homemade sourdough.
For the kiddos: Y’all, I wish I had this wooden rainbow slide/wobble board when my kids were smaller. It can turn a couch into a playground (great for snow days!) or act as a wobble board to help get those wiggles out. Bonus, it isn’t super bulky like the giant plastic Little Tikes slide we had crowding our front room for three years. Looking for something for older kiddos? This robotic dinosaur kit has KiwiCo vibes and would be a great project to keep bored kids busy during winter break.
For the boss: Looking for a gift for a boss, colleague, or the coworker who keeps you sane? This handmade ceramic vase is great office decor and would look really good in the background of a Zoom meeting that probably could have been an email, too. Another unique and functional option is this custom charging pad that can help your fave boss human charge their devices without 1,809 cords hanging around.
For the ones who need a lil something sentimental: A couple of years ago I got a friend a custom embroidered portrait and it is honestly such a heartfelt and unique gift. I almost gave it to her 100 times before Christmas because it looked so beautiful and I was excited for her to have it. Looking for something else with all the feels? This retro viewfinder photo album mixes nostalgia and sentimentality to showcase meaningful photos and you can even organize them by year, occasion, family member, etc.
For those that are tough to buy for: A little gift box can be the perfect “I love you” even when someone is tough to buy for or might not have a specific wishlist. My mom recently sent me one of these Hug in a Box gift boxes and it made my day! I loved it and it was full of such sweet things and just really well curated. I am also firmly Team Burn the Fancy Candle. I love to gift a fancy, festive candle for any holiday and this one is so fun. Gingerbread for Christmas? Yay! Heart shaped candle for Valentine’s Day? Sign me up! Tree shaped pine scented flames for Arbor Day? Ok, I can get into it!
